And more to come...

So, hump-day, and after 8 installations of Hyperion this morning, on Win2K boxes, I think I am able to wake up with a coffee. Although I bought the damned thing on the way to the office this morning. This means it's tepid.

Of course, this is a LOT better than yesterday morning... I must admit that popping onto a train and heading into Parramatta forst thing in the morning is not the most exciting thing to be doing of a morning. However, when one lets one's mind wander, closing your eyes and opening them again a second later to find yourself at Campbelltown is NOT an exciting way to start the day. Then popping back from Campbelltown to Granville to get on the other train to Parramatta means that you arive late. Well, at least it caused a chuckle within the ranks of the work colleagues, yesterday.

Last night got to see the latest exhibition opening at Polymorph Gallery (Shutter-Thug). Some of the work was great, some not so. Overall I think the prints were over-priced, but that is perhaps also coming from not knowing the general pricing of photographic prints. Yes I know, there's courses, time, effort, printing, mounting and display costs. So I guess that all adds up. Still, one wonders the difference between an 8x10 for $40 and one for $180 - that's probably just me not 'getting ' it. Still, there were 3-4 prints (that I liked) there, and the exhibition opening had the largest attendance of any Grace has done so far. Also ran into Gill, Elliot, Tim, Reba, John and Keiran, there. After the exhibition - a quick jaunt up the road to the Macchu-Picchu Restaurant on Enmore Road - (very well priced Peruvian cuisine, which I have been wanting to try for a long time, with a Civiche which is to DIE for). Then home, chats and sleep (which I think I need a little more of these days).

It's Wednesday, and this week/end there are a couple of movies to see, and I am filming all weekend in Narrabeen (well, Saturday definitely - and maybe Sunday if they need pick-ups). However, this IS a small part (100-worder) for a feature and it IS paid work :) On other happy notes, I also have my first two confirmed Celebrant bookings for September 13th and April next year, along with another 2 interested parties (those two are not firmly booked at this time) :) - Anyway, the happy thing is that I have congratulations to forward to the two happy couples... but until both couples publicly announce it, I'm keeping their identities to myself :).

Oh yes - June 11-13 they are screening 3 vampire films (one each night) to celebrate the 50th 'birthday' of HMAS Vampire (currently an exhibit at the National Maritime Museum at Darling Harbour). June 11th is 'Blacula' (1972), June 12th is 'The Lost Boys' (1987), and June 13th is 'Twilight' (2009) (which I haven't seen and probably should to see what all the damned fuss is about). Tickets are $20 per night ($15 Student/Concession/Museum Member) - and the screenings are outdoors at the Aquashell. I am very tempted for them... but will probably not make it, as I am already booked those three nights :( Ah well...

Anyway, back to the grindstone methinks...
