tickets to Inland Empire and Angel. Initially this was amusing (as I
think the seasons have finished) but in looking at them it also seemed a
little indicative of this year. There are some thing which have stirred
the imagination, re-aligned faith with the mob-mentality, and yet some
good things which have been left by the wayside. I guess I get a little
introspective a those things and say that 'they weren't meant to happen'
- I think that's the only way to look at it at times. [chuckles].
You just have to accept how things fall and work within that, remember
that wiccan rede: 'What you give out may you get back thrice.' That goes
for bad OR good.
It's been a busy week - with things in and out of work being either busy
or weird (yet rarely together) in that David Lynch kinda way. The tough
things have been issues with family, and friends having a tough time and
that's all that need be said in a 'public' forum. They know I'm here if
needed. Plans for Boxing Day almost hit an insurmountable snag when
things didn't leave Perth as planned, yet all was saved as allegedly The
Spa arrives in Smithfield tonight and at The Fortress tomorrow between
8-Midday. Not to mention the TV replacement happens sometime tomorrow,
as well, but not the washing machine (as they have run out of the right
model until next year [ie: 2 weeks time]) so that replacement will have
to wait - but overall it will all work out, thankfully. (Note To Self:
Must do the food-shopping this weekend with Kate).
As a side note: Amanda Palmer was outstanding on Monday night, just
thought I'd throw that in there... she was brilliant, and catching up
with The Follow beforehand was also good. I hadn't seen them perform
since their EP Launch at 34b with MzAnnThropik about 2(?) years ago
(Steve was still in MzAnn at that stage). Still, Ms Palmer was great and
she dropped the hint that she would be doing a season at the Opera House
Studio next year... though not giving specific dates at this stage.
The rest of this week is filled with Goth City tonight, National
Treasure: Book Of Secrets tomorrow evening, Dark Lotus and Hellfire on
Friday night (Hellfire whereas I MUST be in time for the Santa photo
with SuzyQ :)) - though spanners are raising to throw that one into
disarray (personally only). Saturday and Sunday are full of last-minute
Xmas shopping things (such as food-shopping with Kate... see?
Note-to-self works). Then we are into the Xmas week. Jeez! It's come on
so fast.
I am planning on doing the same thing I did last year on 'the day'. A
day filled with trashy Xmas movies and kittens. Which will lead onto
Boxing Day...
OK. That's the lot for today methinks... I'm meeting peoples in the
city, thence off to Goth City and thence home.
