On so it goes...

Although that isn't supposed to be a Hunter S Thompson reference... it's
true nonetheless... (and that reminds me that Nic will want to see the
Hunter S Thompson retrospective at The Sydney Film festival next month -
which is kinda starting next week.

OK - the last weekend was an interesting time with time spent at home -
little tidying, which is a BAD thing and I need to get mediaeval on my
own behind in that regard - and thence it was Monday.

Monday starts my last week at Sydney University, and I have had an
inquiry from 2 jobs (3 if you count a non-agency inquiry) for staring
the week after next - so it's not as bad (for someone with my skill
base) as it seems for others. Still, it was a pleasant night with Wynter
at Cult Sinema (down at The Annandale Hotel), thence a leisurely stroll
home.

Last night was Anthony Warlow in The Phantom Of The Opera at Star City.
The last time I saw this was when Nikki and I saw it in Melbourne in its
initial run (yes it was back THAT far). Firstly a dinner at the Buffet,
with the associated discount for Star Club members, and then the
champers and show. To say that Barbs and I enjoyed it would be a hideous
understatement. It was fantastic! Warlow was in excellent voice, if
anything he has gotten much better in the past 16 years! The overall
cast was very good, the set and lighting design made more than brilliant
use of the space (this is the same theatre I saw 'Shout!' in with Gill).
I cannot recommend this show highly enough. That reminds me, The Rocky
Horror Show is into it's final weeks at Star City, and so if you want/ed
to see the new production (with Paul Capsis as Riff Raff, and iOTA as
Frank) before it heads off to Melbourne, book your tickets now - and if
you go on a Friday night you can be up for a 'best costume' award run by
the theatre and a local Radio Station.

Tonight - the first of the Sydney Leather Pride events that I am going
to be able to get to - "Dungeon 101" which all players should attend at
some time.

Tomorrow I'm catching up with Michelle in the city, before heading into
the Matthew Bourne production of 'Edward Scissorhands' at The Opera
House. Then there is the BarbarianPlates Degustation on Friday (if you
haven't RSVP'd for that one - get in NOW).

...and now... off to an interview for another contract :)
