Monday morning brings another week at the (new) office...

...Which in itself is kind of interesting - seeing as I still haven't got my login details for certain systems - I think the requisite people are still away on Pope-recovery. Perhaps they were volunteers and they're getting their thank you at The Domain. The weekend was a rather nice place to be, although a little busier than I thought it would be. Firstly there was Thursday evening at a Gold Class showing of The Dark Knight, with the costumed wonderment of <lj user="princessebee">, <lj user="gnomes_inc">, and <lj user="hexyhex">, (and the rest of the excellent costumed villains - Hint: Do NOT turn up as the only superhero in amongst a host of supervillains, they will attack you (see photos from Elise and/or Hexy to see the results)), as well as sharing Gold Class goodness with <lj user="agent_beckles">, <lj user="arby_doll"> and <lj user="combicritter">.

Friday - which is kind of the official start to the weekend (especially with all things Pope-like happening, roads being closed, people being randomly searched, pilgrims getting plastered at the 3 Monkeys in George Street then furtively running off to a shared sleeping bag somewhere... which is not saying anything bad at all - just nice to see that they are just as wonderfully human as the rest of us). After an abortive attempt to leave The Fortress via the Rivetting Band-Van (which decided to just die in the street), later that evening, accompanied by a very school-girled <lj user="arby_doll"> (with her Pilgim backpack), <lj user="pornofairy"> and Eliott, we headed up to HPELLFIRE where many many people packed the club and much debauchery was was handed out. I was happy to see <lj user="hexyhex"> raising money for ACON with a very... er... robust Fireman suspending a bucket of coin-donations from his nether-regions. The funnier thing was that he didn't want to take it off at all... I guess it was his penance (for something) or his version of Opus Die Self-Flagellation. <lj user="freeq">'s show which showed that all habits aren't bad, was rather lovely as well :). <lj user="arby_doll"> won the best dressed award for the night (much pride there ;)), there was a realisation which led to a little disappointment later on, but as Ol' Blue Eyes says "That's Life"; and we finally skipped off home with both Gill and Eliott in tow, for a morning/day of spa-debauchery (along with some induced couch-napping).

For that matter that was all there was with Saturday ;)

There was some drama a little later on in the night with someone, and some of their acquaintances, with relationship issues and even a conversation (up the street) with some boys-in-blue. No, nothing to do with me - just being a very concerned friend actually. I may make a filtered post about it later - if warranted.

Sunday saw a late sleep (for the aforementioned reason/s) followed by <lj user="arby_doll"> scoring a front-of-stage Pilgrim ticket to The Mass at Randwick, so being a good Polish girl, she headed out there with the family to make nice with His Holiness (I think she has a photo or two). For me, a day of sloth and some cleaning up the place from the spa-bauchery of the day before ;). A little extra checking of details and personal updates from the night before, a reworking of some Fortress-business, healthy eating, and then catching up on Ramsay, Time Team, Dr Who re-watching, Top Gun, and a comparatively early night.

I think that was the lot.

This week should be getting more into work, here, some things at The Fortress (WWE-Wrestling-And-Steak-Night, this evening), a re-working of some budgets to catch up with the last 6 weeks, <lj comm="barbarianplates"> this Friday night, redoing my First Aid Certificate this Saturday - at 8:30am no less (couple that along with an engagement party, later that day, Cirque Du Soliel that night, and a visit to SEXPO on the Sunday). All in all, I think it'll be a busy week/end (though not as busy as the ones coming up).
