the 'career' of <b><a
href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_The_Ripper">Springheel'd Jack (aka
'Jack The Ripper')</a></b> by the murder of Mary Anne Nichols (aka 'Polly')
on August 31st, 1888.
Well, this morning, is/was the 342nd Anniversary of the <b><a
href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Fire_of_London">Great Fire Of
London</a></b>. It started in the residence/shop of one Thomas Farriner, a
baker, on Pudding Lane shortly after midnight on Sunday, September 2, 1666.
The fire displaced approximately 70,000 or the 80,000 inhabitants of London
at the time, destoyed most of (what was then) greater London, and was
extensively diarised both by Samuel Pepys and John Evelyn.
Something about this time of year and London?
